The SMS is pleased to announce that a Doctoral Workshop will be held on December 14, 2017, preceding the SMS Special Conference in Costa Rica. We are grateful for the support of Tilburg University, Tilburg School of Economics and Management for their support of this workshop. Interested doctoral students are encouraged to apply.
The main objectives of the workshop are to provide a supportive setting where participants can meet with journal editors, learn about the publication process, understand how to prepare for a professional career in academia, receive advice on their research projects from experienced scholars in the field, and broaden their academic network with senior faculty and other doctoral students.
The format of the workshop will be a combination of interactive discussions and presentations by senior faculty members from major universities and business schools around the world. Leading researchers in the field will bring their experience into the discussion to further develop the participants’ insights into the key themes of this conference.
