Unfortunately, regular passenger trains no longer stop at Banff's historic train station, however, the Rocky Mountaineer train that covers the Kicking Horse Route from Vancouver to Calgary stops in Banff, where passengers may disembark. Travel around Banff:
Guests of the Rimrock Resort Hotel are provided with complimentary passes for Banff’s Public Transit Service, Roam Transit. Two bus lines operate between the Rimrock Resort Hotel and the Banff townsite. Route 1 (Sulphur Mountain) has service every 20-30 minutes from 6:15 am to 10:55 pm. Route 4 (Cave & Basin) operates only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays, with hourly service from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. The trip between the Banff townsite and the Rimrock Resort Hotel takes about 10 minutes, depending on the route.
