Digital technologies have radically transformed the way we work, teach and engage students in the class room. Even though the case method remains one of the most established and proven pedagogical tools in strategy and management courses for several decades, the traditional case method has undergone dramatic changes in response to the changing habits of students and how they learn. Teaching scholars have, therefore, grappled with issues surrounding maintaining rigor and relevance while keeping students engaged and enthusiastic about learning. This interactive PDW aims at bringing together corporate managers and faculty interested in adopting new experiential methodologies through evolving case teaching techniques with the primary goal of demonstrating how to create an engaging learning classroom through the use of experiential cases. Corporate partners selected for this PDW are leaders in digital transformation and digital innovation. As such, the case study will focus on the two topics of digital transformation and digital innovation.
The PDW co-chairs and discussion facilitators are case scholars, case journal editors, with a strong interactive case teaching experience and recipients of best case awards in North America and Europe.
