Panelists:

Larissa Marchiori Pacheco is an Assistant Teaching Professor of International Business and Strategy and Student Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Emerging Markets at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University. Her research focuses on sustainability, innovation, and corporate strategy in emerging market contexts, with publications spanning green absorptive capacity, CSR-institution dynamics, SDG implementation, and community resilience. Her work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Management Studies and Business Strategy and the Environment.

At Northeastern, Larissa teaches courses in strategy and international business and has led Dialogue of Civilizations programs — immersive, month-long study abroad experiences — to South Korea and, more recently, to Brazil, where students explore cross-cultural management, emerging market strategy, and sustainability through company visits, guest lectures, and experiential learning. She is passionate about connecting students with the complexities of doing business across borders and bridging the gap between strategic frameworks and real-world practice.

Professor Scott Livengood, a.k.a. the Seinfeld Sensei, earned his PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Maryland and his MBA and BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He worked at KPMG (Honolulu & San Francisco offices) and Honeywell International (Phoenix & Morristown offices) along the way, but his true passion lies in education.

He is the lead author of That’s Our Turf! Identity Domains and Competitive Dynamics with Rhonda Reger (published in the Academy of Management Review) and The Startup of Seinfeld: A Multimedia Approach to Learning Entrepreneurship. He has also developed several popular online entrepreneurship courses and has been an award-winning teacher (“sensei” in Japanese) of strategy,  entrepreneurship, and international business, with over 19 years’ experience at numerous universities throughout the United States and to groups around the world.

An Ironman, lover of music, movies, and sports, avid traveler, and curious explorer of the world around him, he is also fluent in Japanese and Seinlanguage. His mission is to promote the entrepreneur’s ethic by educating in an entertaining way to empower students to help them elevate their lives and pursue their passions built on the foundation of the entrepreneurial mindset.

Brent S. Opall is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he teaches strategic management and corporate venturing at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Policy Development from the University of Minnesota, with research published in international journals including the Journal of Business Strategy and Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management.

Dr. Opall’s international experience is extensive. He teaches UW-Eau Claire’s Thailand Immersion in partnership with Mae Fah Luang University and previously oversaw an MBA course visit to India that included diplomatic meetings with senior business and political leaders. He conducted on-site evaluations of study abroad programs in Rome and Milan and has presented research at conferences in Istanbul, San Jose, Winchester, Tignes, and Pécs. He has also mentored student teams in international case competitions worldwide.

His research focuses on organizational strategy, corporate social responsibility, and innovation, and he has consulted for organizations including the Mayo Clinic Health System.

Dr. Sumit K. Kundu is a tenured Full Professor and the James K. Batten Eminent Scholar Chair in International Business in the College of Business at Florida International University, Miami, USA. He is the Associate Dean for International Affairs and Director for the Center for International Business Education and Research [CIBER].

On the research front, Dr. Kundu served as a Consulting Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Management and the Journal of Business Research. Dr. Kundu has published 50+ articles in prestigious journals, namely, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Global Strategy Journal, Management International Review, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, Journal of International Management, British Journal of Management, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics, Leadership Quarterly, R&D Management, and Journal of Small Business Economics. His Google Scholar Citation count is 10500+ to date.

Dr. Kundu is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business, Fellow of the British Academy of Management, Peer Review College, and a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Management.
