The global business environment is experiencing turbulence that is unprecedented in its concurrent breadth. Firms face global pressures from geopolitical fragmentation, rising nationalism, accelerated technological change including AI, and climate change, among others. These forces are materially shifting the conditions under which value is created and appropriated in ways that the established strategic management theories only partially capture. This panel convenes scholars and practitioners with diverse expertise to set an agenda for a sustained scholarly conversation on value creation and value appropriation under contemporary global turbulence.
