About the PhD Volunteer Support Staff Program

In order to facilitate an excellent Annual Conference, SMS relies on having excellent student volunteers! Participants in the program have the opportunity to contribute to the seamless execution of the event while forging meaningful connections with peers and fellow scholars in a high-visibility role.

Benefits include complimentary conference registration, firsthand exposure to the inner workings of a prestigious academic conference, enhancing your organizational skills and expanding your network!

Volunteers MUST be enrolled full-time in their college/university to qualify for this opportunity. Preference will be given to 2024 SMS Student Members.

Expectations, Policies, and Guidelines
Volunteers will be scheduled to work approximately 12-15 hours total during the conference on October 19-22. Duties include hospitality and directional support, registration desk support, and session monitoring.
