Pankaj Kumar is an Associate Professor in Management at the Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech. He earned a PhD from the University of Minnesota. His research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and organization theory, focusing on innovation, interfirm relationships (alliances and networks), crowdsourcing, economic geography, emerging markets, big data, and machine learning. His research has been published in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Operations Management, and Journal of International Business Studies. Kumar serves on the Editorial Review Board (ERB) for the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of International Business Studies.
