Our organization is unique in bringing together the worlds of reflective practice and
thoughtful scholarship. The Society consists of over 3,000 members representing a
kaleidoscope of backgrounds and perspectives from more than 80 different countries.
Membership, composed of academics, business practitioners, and consultants,
focuses on the development and dissemination of insights on the strategic management
process, as well as on fostering contacts and interchange around the world.
SMS Board of Directors: Call for Nominations
As a membership-based organization, we value your input and hope you will take this opportunity to participate in the Society by nominating individuals to serve on the SMS Board of Directors. We are seeking your recommendations for candidates to serve as President-Elect and Director-at-Large. The Nominations Committee will consider all recommendations received by July 31 when making the final decisions for the candidates to be placed on the ballot.

Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal Special Issue Open Call: Catalyzing Change and Innovation in Women's Entrepreneurship
This special issue intends to focus attention on the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and gender. We aim to stimulate scholarly conversations on how women entrepreneurs enact innovation through new products, processes, business models, and organizational practices. The Behavioral Strategy and Strategic Leadership & Governance Interest Groups are pleased to announce the inaugural Sucheta Nadkarni Award for Outstanding Publication on Women Executive Leadership. This award is sponsored by Cambridge Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge in memory of Sucheta Nadkarni (1967-2019) and it recognizes a refereed journal publication with potential to significantly impact our understanding of women executive leadership. Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal Special Issue Open Call: Reframing Social Entrepreneurship Research: Embracing a Strategic Perspective
The purpose of this special issue is to study social entrepreneurship at a critical juncture in the development of this area of inquiry. To accomplish this purpose, we seek to attract research on social entrepreneurship that extends, develops, and/or tests theory in ways that will help frame ongoing research and serve as a critical input for practical and policy decisions.
