Ryan Krause, associate professor of strategy in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, is the 2020 recipient of the SMS Emerging Scholar Award. On November 17, 2020, Dr. Krause co-hosted a webinar on the topic of “Becoming a Scholar” with his dissertation chair, Arizona State University professor Matthew Semadeni. The two discussed the process of beginning a research partnership and developing a scholarly identity and voice. They reflected on their own experience breaking new ground in the strategic leadership and governance domain, and how they have managed the course of their research activities. Participants were invited to join in the conversation to share their own experiences and ask questions of the speakers.
