The Strategic Management Society is an individual member-based organization with over 3,000 members. These members represent 1,100+ institutions from over 70+ counties across the world.
You are an integral part of the SMS community, and we hope that you will choose to renew your membership in 2026.
Renewal Process
The renewal period for 2026 membership is currently open. Members can login to your SMS account portal and click ‘renew’.
Following the prompts, you will select your membership type (Student, Regular, or Emeritus), term, and add Interest Groups & Communities. Two Interest Groups and both Communities are included with your membership, but you may select more Interest Groups for an additional $12/group.
To streamline the process for the future, we recommend setting up autorenewal to keep it active without any hassle.
Important Reminders and 2026 Rates
- As of 2024, conference registration no longer includes future-year membership. If you attended SMS San Francisco, 2026 membership was not bundled with your registration. Follow the process above to renew for 2026 and keep your membership active!
- Membership dues will increase by $25 for Regular members and $13 for Student and Emeritus members starting on January 1, 2026. Multi-year bundles purchased in 2025 will honor the 2025 pricing. Choose a 2- or 3-year dues option by Dec 31 to lock in current rates for up to three years! Check your university’s billing policy to see if a multi-year membership bundle is an option for you.
- Still need 2025 membership? 2025 membership is now only available in a bundle with 2026 membership at a prorated rate. Click “Join” in your SMS Account Portal to see the current cost for your membership type.
- SMS membership purchases are non-refundable. Please check all terms, benefits, policies, and reimbursement eligibility for your institution prior to making your membership purchase. If you made an error when completing your membership purchase, please contact the SMS Office immediately, or within five business days of purchase.
