Dr. Sekou Bermiss is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. His research explores how organizations acquire, develop, and retain talent as a source of competitive advantage. His work has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, and featured in Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SMS, is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Kenan Institute, and an International Research Fellow of the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation. He previously served as Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal and in leadership roles within the Strategic Human Capital Interest Group.
