The Strategic Management Society is pleased to announce that the 2026 application cycle for the Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) grant programs is now officially open.

SRF continues to play a vital role in advancing high-quality research in strategic management, entrepreneurship, and global strategy by supporting scholars at various stages of their careers. Through its portfolio of grant programs, SRF provides funding to doctoral students, early career researchers, and established faculty, helping to ignite innovative ideas and expand the frontiers of the field.

Reflecting on the impact of the Foundation’s work, SRF Co-Chairs Mahka Moeen and Francisco Polidoro Jr. shared:

“Over the years, SRF has supported many research projects that have gone on to make meaningful contributions to the field. It is always exciting to see those ideas reach fruition. We look forward to this year’s grant proposals and the new questions and perspectives they will bring to strategic management.”

The 2026 grant cycle invites proposals that push theoretical and empirical boundaries, introduce novel perspectives, and address emerging challenges in strategic management. Applicants are encouraged to submit projects that demonstrate rigor, originality, and the potential to make a significant scholarly impact.

Detailed information on eligibility criteria and submission guidelines can be found on the SMS website. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the requirements carefully and submit their proposals in advance of the deadline.

The Society looks forward to supporting another cohort of promising research projects and continuing SRF’s longstanding commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the field.
