Vincent Bagire is a Professor of Strategic Management with Makerere University Business School, Uganda.
I have previously served on the Committee of Strategic Management division of Academy of Management on Research and Teaching committees. Before that I was Global Representative for Africa on the Division. Iam also active on the Africa Academy of Management. My current research interest is strategy practice in the African context. We realize that strategy theory and practice have inadequately been modelled in the African business. We still have lesser development of scholarship of strategy scholars among African universities. These are critical priorities for SMS in globalizing her presence. I wish to be part of that effort to build a stronger presence of strategy teaching and research in Africa and other lesser developed areas.
