Ulya Tsolmon (PhD Duke) is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research focuses on understanding how market frictions affect firms’ human capital and innovation strategies. Her most recent work examines the role of target managers’ knowledge in the post-M&A integration. Her work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and the Review of Economics and Statistics. Ulya won the Wiley Blackwell Outstanding Dissertation Award in Business Policy and Strategy. She also received an Outstanding Service Award from the Strategic Human Capital Interest Group at the SMS for her work as the Membership Engagement Officer from 2019-2023.
