Sana Chiu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management & Leadership at the University of Houston and previously served as a faculty at the Nanyang Business School in Singapore. She received her Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia and M.A. in IT Management from Michigan State University. Her research program focuses on the role of strategic leaders in corporate sustainability, stakeholder management, and corporate change strategies. Her work has uniquely contributed to “responsible leadership” research and practice by connecting corporate strategy and sustainability performance. She has published in the Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Management Studies, among others. She was a recipient of the Elizabeth D. Rockwell Research Award in Ethics and Leadership and the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Strategic Management Society in 2023 and 2024. She currently serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Management. She is also committed to excellence in teaching, with a broad teaching portfolio in undergraduate, MBA, PhD, and Executive Education. She received the Lucile and Leroy Melcher Excellence in Teaching Award at the University of Houston.
