Renate is an Associate Professor at BI Norwegian Business School. Her research focuses on strategy and technology management processes, with a specific focus on collaboration within and between organizations. She employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, including conducting interviews, performing field observations, and administering questionnaires. In her current research project, she is investigating a collaboration between researchers and practitioners with the aim of realizing the idea of a radical innovation related to the digitalization of work processes.
Renate has been actively engaged in various roles within the Strategic Management Society, including her involvement in the SMS Social Media Team, her position as a Member of the Editorial Review Board for the Global Strategy Journal, and her role as Rep-at-Large in the Strategy Practice Interest Group. She earned her PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and has undertaken visiting research positions at VU Amsterdam, Warwick Business School, and Stanford University.
