Dr Qian Li is an Assistant Professor at Warwick Business School (WBS). Her research explores the discursive and practice perspectives of strategy work in the context of digital innovation. Dr Li has been an active community builder at the Strategy Activity and Practice (SAP) interest group at the Academy of Management, where she co-founded and managed SAP’s signature event—Reading Club: Behind the Scenes series—a quarterly webinar that invites senior academics to share their experience of publishing at the leading journals. She is a co-organizer of the Qualitative Research Forum (QRF) at Warwick Business School and the co-director of the Warwick Summer School on Practice and Process Studies. Dr Li has published work on qualitative research methods and has been working on a review paper with Professor Jarzabkowski on topics, debates, and proposals for strategy-as-practice. Dr Li trained at the University of Missouri-Columbia in the U.S. and received her PhD from Cass Business School, City, University of London in the U.K. She also holds a research master’s degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia.
