Dr. Patrick Reinmoeller is Professor of Strategy and Innovation at IMD.
Patrick conducts research on how good strategies come about, come to live, and evolve over time. He most recent publications explored how peers let entrepreneurs emerges (IJMR), how crisis give rise to innovation (R&D Management), and how venture associations orchestrate members’ development of capabilities (AMJ).
He currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards of AMD and JMS and has been honoured with reviewer awards (AIB, AOM, SMS). He currently serves as Head of the Presidential Office at IFSAM (International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management). Throughout his career, he has pursued impact through his award-winning teaching.
At IMD he helps senior executives to develop capabilities in creating the conditions for finding and driving strategic priorities. In addition to his work with multinational companies, he is currently an angel investor and non-executive director of a start-up.
Patrick conducted research at the University of Cologne (Germany), Bocconi University (Italy), and Hitotsubashi University (Japan). He worked at Japan Advanced Institute of Technology, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (Netherlands), LIUC (Italy), University of Pretoria (South Africa) and Cranfield School of Management (UK). Patrick’s working languages are Dutch, English, German, Italian, and Japanese.
