JR Keller is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Studies in the ILR School at Cornell University. His research focuses on better understanding contemporary internal labor markets, how firms combine internal and external hiring to meet their human capital needs, and the various ways in individuals build careers within and across organizations. His work has appeared in the Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Management Science, Industrial & Labor Relations Review, and the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior. He has previously served as a RAL for the Strategic Human Capital IG and helped to plan the Strategic Human Capital and Entrepreneurship SMS Extension in Madison, WI in 2020.
