Heejung Byun (byun21@purdue.edu) is an assistant professor of management in Strategy Area at the Daniels School of Business, Purdue University. He received his PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park. Heejung’s research interests encompass strategic human capital, corporate strategy, and their intersection. Specifically, his research delves into the embeddedness perspective to understand how individuals and firms appropriate rent from the value that is created from relational capital. He serves on the editorial board of Organization Science.
