Giada Di Stefano is Associate Professor of Strategy at Bocconi University, Milan. Her general research interests are in the area of innovation, knowledge, and organizational learning. More specifically, she studies the interplay of competition and cooperation, with a specific focus on factors that foster or inhibit the creation and transfer of knowledge, within and across organizations. From a methodological standpoint, her research is prevalently mixed-method, with a focus on experiments and field work more broadly. She has partnered with a number of organizations to conduct experiments βin the wild.β Her work is often conducted in the context of creative industries, broadly defined β from gourmet cuisine to science, from computer programming to academia. Giada currently serves as an Associate Editor for Strategic Management Journal and Contributing Editor for Strategy Science, and is in the editorial review board of Organization Science, Strategic Organization and Journal of Organization Design. She serves on the board of the Consortium on Competitiveness and Cooperation (CCC). For the Strategic Management Society, Giada is the Program Chair of the Will Mitchell Dissertation Research Grant Program of the Strategic Research Foundation. In the past, she has served in the Leadership team for the Competitive Strategy Interest Group, and as a Representative-at-Large and Engagement Officer for the Behavioral Strategy Interest Group. At Bocconi, Giada is the director of the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at SDA Bocconi School of Management, a member of the Ethics Committee, and a member of the Department of Management and Technology Executive Committee.
