Gerard P. Hodgkinson is Professor of Strategic Management and Behavioural Science at Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester, UK.
The (co-)author of more than 150 scholarly publications, his current research focuses on the psychological foundations of strategic management (especially cognition and emotion) and the nature and significance of management and organizational research. Among other outlets, his work has appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Annual Review of Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Strategic Management Journal. He has served two terms on the Executive Committee of the Academy of Management’s MOC Division (including the roles of International Representative at Large, PDW Chair, Program Chair, and Division Chair). He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Discoveries, Academy of Management Review, Futures & Foresight Science, Journal of Management, and Strategic Management Journal.
