Elena Plaksenkova is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Human Resources department at the Ohio State University (Fisher College of Business). She received my PhD from HEC Paris (Strategy and Business Policy department). Her research focuses on issues related to value creation and value capture in business ecosystems. In her main research stream, she explores the mechanisms underlying ecosystem evolution, and for-profit and nonprofit actors’ strategies towards complements. She uses formal models and empirical methods to study these questions. In her second research stream, she studies value creation and value capture in R&D alliances in biopharmaceutical industry using a two-sided matching method.
She holds a MSc in International Management from Bocconi University and a BA in Management from Moscow State University (Graduate School of Business). Prior to joining the PhD program , she worked in LifeScienceConsulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
