Trained as an economist in Taiwan, Chengwei received his PhD from Cambridge and is currently an associate professor of strategy and behavioral science at the ESMT Berlin. Chengwei’s research has been published in leading journals (e.g., Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Management Science, Strategy Science), practitioner outlets (e.g., Harvard Business Review, California Management Review, Financial Times), and interdisciplinary outlets (e.g., PNAS, Social Networks, Behavioral and Brain Sciences). His book “Luck: A Key Idea for Business and Society” is a Best Book Award finalist at the EGOS. Thinkers50 named Chengwei a leading management thinker and Poets&Quants named Chengwei a Top 40 under 40 Business School Professor. He serves as the committee chair of the Theoretical and Organizational Model Society (https://www.tomsociety.science), an elected officer of the Behavioral Strategy IG at the SMS, and a Senior Editor at Organization Science.
