Carlos A. Rodriguez is an assistant professor of Strategy at INCAE Business School. He obtained his Ph.D. in Strategy and Organizations at McGill University. He holds an MBA from INCAE and a B.Sc. degree in Economics from the University of CR. Carlos’ research centers on the processes of formation, evolution and organizational change triggered by the processes of fragmentation in the global value chain. His work has been presented international conferences such as AOM, AIB, SMLA, EGOS and ASAC. He spent one year as a visiting scholar at Fuqua Business School in Duke University. His doctoral thesis “Global Specialization: An Organizational Perspective” was finalist in the AOM IM division D’Amore-McKim School of Business (2016) and the AIB’s Peter J. Buckley and Mark Casson (2015) Dissertation Awards. In addition, two of his work-in-progress papers have been nominated to the AIB Haynes Prize (2014) for the best paper written by an author under 40 years old. His work has been published in the Journal of Business Research and AIB Insights.
