Alison E. Holm is Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business & Economics (Portugal). She holds a PhD from Copenhagen Business School was a visiting PhD student at Stanford University.
Alison conducts research on corporate misconduct in the global setting. Specifically, she investigates interactions between firms and civil society actors that address accusations of corporate misconduct on issues such as human rights and environmental protection. The methods she uses include qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) and multiple case studies.
Her work was published in the Global Strategy Journal. In 2023, she was Finalist for the D’Amore-McKim Dissertation Award of the International Management Division of the Academy of Management (AOM). In 2019, she received the Elite Research Travel Prize graciously attributed by the Danish Minister of Higher Education and Science and HRH The Crown Princess of Denmark ($ 30 000) to support her research.
Previously, she was Policy Analyst at the Responsible Business Conduct unit of the OECD in Paris. She also worked as Business Development Manager for an e-commerce firm in Côte d’Ivoire. Alison has worked and studied in eight countries, including Austria, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, Denmark, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the USA.
