Join us on December 13th (10:30 -11:00 AM EDT) to learn about the SMS Special Conference in Washington D.C. and get a preview of the conference theme “Strategies for Sustainable Human Development” through a dynamic panel discussion on “How Academics and the Private Sector can Shape the Future Human Development Pathways”, featuring Conference Track Co-Chairs Colleen Stuart (JHU), Jiao Luo (Minnesota), and Timothy Gubler (BYU). During the discussion we will explore the convergence of managing firm human capital, enabling education institutions with equitable opportunity, and contributing to societal health and community well-being.
Conference Program Co-Chair Rick Smith (JHU) will open the session by sharing an overview of conference plans—including exciting new details not yet announced—and giving participants a glimpse of what they can expect when visiting Washington D.C. and John Hopkins University. The session will then transition to a panel discussion, where the Conference Track Co-Chairs will share their own perspectives on the challenges and opportunities that can be found within their tracks’ theme and explore how academics and the private sector will shape future sustainable human development pathways. We look forward to a vibrant discussion!
