Howard Thomas was appointed Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business in January of 2010. Prior to this appointment, he was the Dean of the Warwick Business School for ten years and the Dean of the College of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for nine years. He is Chair of the Global Foundation for Management Education, and former Chair of the board of the Graduate Management Admissions Council. He is a past President of the Strategic Management Society, was elected as an Inaugural Fellow, and was the Dean of the Fellows. He is Vice-President of the European Foundation for Management Development and the Association of Business Schools. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Management in the USA and the British Academy of Management, where he has also been elected onto its Council. He is also the chairman of the board of directors of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
