Sergio Lazzarini

Sergio G. Lazzarini (PhD, 2002, Washington University in St. Louis) is a Professor of Organization and Strategy at Insper Institute of Education and Research, a private business school in Brazil. He does research on strategic management, with particular emphasis on how emerging market contexts affect business strategy, and the organization of the public-private interactions. While visiting Harvard University in 2010, he wrote the book Capitalismo de Laços (Capitalism of Ties, Campus Elsevier, 2011), which describes public-private interactions in Brazil; and he just finished a new book (with Aldo Musacchio) on the evolution of state capitalism (Reinventing State Capitalism: Leviathan in Business, Brazil and Beyond, Harvard University Press, 2014). He has also published in several journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Law, Economics and Organization, Journal of Management Studies, and Public Choice, among others.
