Sandy Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship department at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Her research examines key strategic concerns of entrepreneurs and the impact of start-up financing from sources such as venture capital, accelerators, and crowdfunding. Her work has been published in Management Science and Research Policy, and is supported by the Kauffman Foundation and the National Science Foundation. Sandy holds a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University, and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Prior to academia, she worked at Microsoft and Toshiba.
