Palash Deb is an Associate Professor in the Strategic Management group at IIM Calcutta. He also co-heads the IIM Calcutta Corporate Governance Center. Palash did his PhD in strategic management in 2011 from the Martin J Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He then taught for five years at the California State University San Marcos before deciding to return to India. Palash’s research interests are in corporate strategy and corporate governance. His research has been published in outlets like the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Small Business Management, European Management Review and the Oxford Handbook of Corporate Governance. Before joining academia, Palash worked extensively in Indian industry with companies like Accenture, HSBC and GE Capital. At IIM Calcutta, Palash offers various courses in strategy and governance for both MBA and doctoral students. He is also actively involved in executive training and teaching at IIM Calcutta.
