Andreas König is Chaired Professor of Strategic Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Passau and Visiting Professor at Free University Amsterdam. He is also a member of the visiting faculties at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and Representative-at-Large of the Strategic Leadership and Governance Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society. His research focuses on discontinuous organizational transformation, strategic leadership, and executive communication. His work has appeared, for example, in Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Research Policy, and MIT Sloan Management Review. He has received Best Paper Awards from the STR Division of the Academy of Management, the Cooperative Strategy IG of the Strategic Management Society, the Strategic Management IG of the European Academy of Management, and the German Academic Association for Business Research. His work is significantly influenced by his unique diverse experiences, particularly as a professional musician (he holds a Master of Music in trumpet performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London) prior to entering the field of business studies.
