Paul Mang is a member of the executive team of Guidewire Software. In his role as Chief Innovation Officer, he counsels client executives at financial institutions around the globe to achieve their growth aspirations through technology and analytics. Prior to joining Guidewire, Paul was the Global CEO of Analytics at Aon plc, a London-based professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions. While at Aon, he also oversaw the Aon Center of Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) in Singapore. Paul was a Partner at McKinsey & Company and a leader in its North American Insurance Practice. Over 14 years at McKinsey, in both the Chicago and London offices, he has advised numerous clients on issues across strategy, organization and operations. Before joining McKinsey, Paul was an Assistant Professor of Management at The University of Texas at Austin, Graduate School of Business. Paul is a recognized thought leader on technology innovations impacting risk management and the insurance sector. He is an active speaker at leading insurance events around the globe and his presentations are widely quoted in industry publications, such as Intelligent Insurer, Reactions, and Risk & Insurance. His research in technology strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation management has been published in journals such as Strategic Organization, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Research Policy, and McKinsey Quarterly. Paul holds a DBA from Harvard University, and MS engineering and BA degrees from Stanford University. He currently serves on the Board of Regents at Trinity International University. Paul and his wife, Alicia, live in the Chicago area. They have three grown children.
