Vittoria G. Scalera. PhD, is an assistant professor of International Business at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. She is also John H. Dunning Visiting Fellow at Henley Business School, University of Reading. She has been visiting scholar at the Fox School of Business, Temple University, at the Henley Business School, University of Reading and at Bocconi University. Her research mainly lies at the intersection between international strategy and innovation management, where she focuses on global innovation strategies, the micro-foundations of international knowledge sourcing and creation, and global innovation networks. Her research has received several awards and grants, including the 2017 Temple/Academy of International Business (AIB) Conference Best Paper Award and a three-year individual research grant by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). She has been finalist for different awards at the AIB and at the Academy of Management, such as the Alan M. Rugman Young Scholar Award and the HKUST Best Paper in Global Strategy, respectively. Her works have been published or are forthcoming in leading academic journals, including Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, and Journal of Product Innovation Management, among others. She is member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of World Business, where she is also a Special Issue Editor and covers the role of Social Media Coordinator. She is Secretary/Treasurer (elected) of the AIB Western Europe Chapter.
