Timothy Werner is an Associate Professor of Business, Government and Society at the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. His research examines external stakeholder management, with a focus on how corporate political activity intersects with corporate social responsibility and corporate governance. In addition to publishing a book with Cambridge University Press, his work has appeared or is forthcoming in Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, and Management Science. Currently, he is serving as a representative-at-large for the Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group and a member of the editorial review board of Organization Science. In the past two years he has helped organize the SSIG’s paper development workshops, as well as SMS extensions on non-market strategy in Austin (2017) and Madrid (2018). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, and he teaches elective courses on non-market strategy across multiple levels of McCombs’ curriculum.
