Parthiban David is an Associate Professor and holds the Collins Chair in Strategy at the Kogod School of Business in American University in Washington, D.C., He earned his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, and a B.E. from the University of Roorkee in India. His primary research interests are on the impact of corporate governance on corporate strategy and firm performance. He has published his research in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, and Journal of Management. He serves on the Editorial Boards of Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Governance, and on the International Advisory Board of the Journal of Enterprising Culture. He has taught at the University of Oklahoma, University of Notre Dame, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Prior to joining academia he worked several years as an engineer in the power plant equipment industry in India.
