Pankaj Ghemawat is Emeritus Professor of Strategic Management and the Anselmo Rubiralta Chair of Strategy and Globalization at IESE Business School. He is also Global Professor of Management and Strategy at NYU Stern Business School and Director Emeritus of the DHL Initiative on Globalization at NYU Stern’s Center for the Future of Management. Between 1983 and 2008, he was on the faculty at the Harvard Business School where, in 1991, he became the youngest person in HBS's history to be appointed a full professor. Prof. Ghemawat has written eight books and more than 100 research articles and case studies on globalization and business strategy and is one of the world's best-selling authors of teaching cases. He also led the development of the DHL Global Connectedness Index, which tracks the evolution of international trade, capital, information, and people flows. He served on AACSB International’s taskforce on the globalization of management education and is a fellow of the Strategic Management Society and of the Academy of International Business. He served as the editor of the Strategy department of Management Science over 2003-2009. Prof. Ghemawat’s most recent book is The New Global Road Map: Enduring Strategies for Turbulent Times (Harvard Business Review Press, 2018).
