Patricia Klarner is a Professor of Organization Design at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) and a Senior Fellow of the Center for Leadership and Change Management, Wharton School, University of Pennylvania. Prior to her current position, she worked on the faculties of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and the University of Munich (LMU). She earned her Ph.D. from HEC, University of Geneva and received a venia legendi from the Munich School of Management, University of Munich, for her habilitation thesis. Her research focuses on strategic change processes, strategic decision making processes, corporate governance, and strategic leadership. Her work has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Long Range Planning, and she has received awards such as the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Best Paper Prize for Practice Implications and the Academy of Management (AOM) OMT Division ABCD Award. Patricia currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management. She frequently serves as Session Chair and Session Facilitator at SMS and AOM conferences and was Organizer and Co-Chair of the 2013 SMS Strategic Leadership & Governance Interest Group Panel Sessions.
