Yong Li is Professor and Lee Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he is also the research director of the Troesh Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Yong is an associate editor for Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. His research focuses on how firms make investment decisions in highly entrepreneurial contexts such as venture capital, crowdfunding, new venture innovation and international expansion. He has published in leading management journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal, and in leading entrepreneurship journals including Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice. His research has been supported by the Kauffman Foundation and SSHRC Canada. He currently serves on the editorial boards of AMR, JBV, and JIBS. He has led the SMS Doctoral Workshop and organized several PDWs at AOM on advancing theory development in entrepreneurship. Yong received Ph.D. in strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
