Yong Li is Professor and Lee Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he is also the research director of the Troesh Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Yong is an associate editor for Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. His research focuses on how firms make investment decisions in highly entrepreneurial contexts such as venture capital, crowdfunding, new venture innovation and international expansion. His work has been published in leading management journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal, and in leading entrepreneurship journals including Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice. His research has been supported by the Kauffman Foundation and SSHRC Canada. He currently serves on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, and Journal of International Business Studies. He received his MBA from the University of Queensland and Ph.D. in strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
