Marco Ceccagnoli's research and teaching center on the economics and management of innovation and its relationship with a firm’s business and corporate strategy. His research has received international awards, including the William W. Cooper Doctoral Dissertation Award in Management Science, the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award (runner-up) of the Academy of Management (TIM Division), and the best paper award for the Cooperative Strategy Interest Group, Strategic Management Society (SMS), among others. He has published articles in top economic and management journals including the Journal of Industrial Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, MIS Quarterly, among others. He holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and a magna cum laude Laurea (M.S.) degree from the University of Rome "La Sapienza." He was an assistant professor of strategy at INSEAD (France) prior to joining the faculty at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech in 2005, where he is now a full Professor and area coordinator for Strategy & Innovation.
