Isabelle Le Breton-Miller is Professor of Management and holds the Chair of Succession and Family Enterprise at HEC Montreal. Since 2016, she has been a member of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists of the Royal Society of Canada. She received her Ph.D. from Imperial College, London after having served in senior resource management positions in a variety of companies. Her research, teaching interests, and publications center on strategies, organization designs, governance structures and succession within family businesses. She has published in Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and other journals. Her most recent book with Danny Miller is Managing for the Long Run (Harvard Business School Press), now translated into 6 languages. She is an Associate Editor of Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and serves on the editorial boards of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Family Business Review, and Journal of Family Business Strategy.
