Trish Gorman frames teaching as a dialogue between academia and industry. She uses innovative approaches to translate real world business problems into relevant research questions, and to interpret rigorous research findings for strategy students in university and corporate learning programs. Trish is an Innovation Expert at the Fisher Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Ohio State University, where she lectures on Strategy; and Executive Advisor to the Goff Strategic Leadership Center at University of Utah. Among prior roles, Trish was core faculty at Columbia University Executive Education, Academic Director of Wharton’s Global Consulting Practicum, and Dean of the Jack Welch Management Institute. Trish has published in the McKinsey Quarterly, Harvard Business Review, Forbes.com, Deloitte Reviewand co-authored What I Didn’t Learn in Business School with Jay Barney. She earned her Ph.D. in Strategy & Economics from Case Western Reserve University, MBA from UCLA, and B.A. from Northwestern University.
