Alex Eapen earned his doctoral degree from Tilburg University, The Netherlands, and is currently a senior lecturer in strategy and international business at the Research School of Management at Australian National University. His research examines the impact of foreign multinational enterprises on host country firms and has been published in the Journal of International Business Studies and Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. Alex Eapen's doctoral thesis was one of the four finalists for the Gunnar Hedlund prize (2007) given by Stockholm School of Economics for the best dissertation in international business written at universities around the world. He also won the Verity Award in 2009 for the most outstanding paper published in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. And in 2012, his publication titled “Social structure and technology spillovers from foreign to domestic firms” was highlighted by the editors of Journal of International Business Studies as an example of “ground-breaking scholarship”.
