Shenghui Ma is a Senior Researcher and Lecturer in Strategy at the University of Zurich and a Visiting Associate at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on CEO succession, top management team dynamics, strategic change, and sensemaking. His work has been published in journals such as the International Journal of Management Reviews and the Strategic Management Journal. Shenghui has been actively engaged in the Strategy-as-Practice community. He is a Representative-at-Large for the Strategy Practice IG at the SMS. He co-organized the panel “Researching Different Types of Strategists” in the 2017 SMS annual conference. His papers were nominated for the SMS Best Conference Paper Prize Award in 2014 and 2016 and the SMS Best Conference Paper Prize for Practice Implications in 2015. At the AOM, he is a postdoc representative for the SAP IG and organized the panel “Strategic Leadership Dynamics” at the 2017 annual meeting. He co-convened the 2017 EGOS conference track “Top Managers and Strategizing.” Together with other colleagues, he ran the SAP-IN community website (Strategy-as-Practice - International Network). He was a visiting researcher at the SAP study group (GéPS) at HEC Montreal.
