Adam Wowak is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Notre Dame. He received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on strategic leadership and corporate governance, with an emphasis on top executives and their effects on organizational outcomes. Adam's work has appeared in Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Academy of Management Annals. His research has also been profiled in a wide range of media outlets, including The Atlantic, Financial Times, Forbes, NBC News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others. Adam currently serves on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal, where he received an outstanding reviewer award in 2017. Prior to entering academia, he worked in investment banking.
