Jennifer C. Sexton is an Assistant Professor of Management at Mississippi State University. Jen received a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Florida State University. Prior to joining the Department of Management and Information Systems, she served on faculty at West Virginia University. Her research interests include mergers and acquisitions, knowledge-based and resource-based perspectives, family business, and top management teams. She is especially interested in examining how firms change and adapt. She has presented her research at the Southern Management Association, the Strategic Management Society, and the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and her work has appeared in several scholarly journals and anthologies, including the Journal of Management, Organizational Research Methods, Africa Journal of Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, and Journal of Business Ethics. She recently received the 2018 Outstanding Reviewer Award for the Journal of Management and the 2018 Outstanding Reviewer Award for the Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group at SMS.
