José F. Molina-Azorin is Professor of Management at the University of Alicante, Spain. His research focuses on strategic management, organizational design, environmental management and quality management, with special focus on competitive strategy, microfoundations, dynamic capabilities, the determinants of firm performance (firm, industry, strategic groups and location effects), antecedents and competitive consequences of environmental management, and sustainability in the tourism industry. His work on these substantive topics has been published in Long Range Planning, International Journal of Management Reviews, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Tourism Management and Annals of Tourism Research, among other journals. From a methodological point of view, he is interested in mixed methods research. His research on mixed methods has been published in several book chapters and articles in Organizational Research Methods, Strategic Organization and Journal of Mixed Methods Research. He is also interested in multilevel research. He is Co-Editor of the Journal of Mixed Methods Research, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Hospitality Management and the European Journal of Management and Business Economics and Guest Editor of several special issues. He teaches strategy and environmental management courses.
