Isin Guler is Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has received her PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Isin Guler's research focuses on how firms manage portfolios of innovation investments, particularly in the context of venture capital and pharmaceuticals. Her work has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies and Strategic Management Journal. She is an Associate Editor for Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and an Editorial Board member for Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. Isin Guler's research received the Best Paper Award by the AOM International Management Division in 2016, the AOM IDEA Award for Thought Leadership in 2008, American Sociological Association’s Richard W. Scott Award for Best Paper in 2003, and Heizer Award for Best Dissertation by the AOM Entrepreneurship Division.
