Seung Ho (Sam) Park is Professor of Strategy at Nanyang Business School. He was formerly the Parkland Chair Professor of Strategy at China Europe International Business School and the Director of the Center for Emerging Market Studies. He was the founding president of Samsung Economic Research Institute China and Managing Director of Skolkovo-EY Institute for Emerging Market Studies. He also held faculty positions at Rutgers Univ., Skolkovo School of Management, Univ. of Texas-Dallas, HKUST, and HK City Univ. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and the IMD winner of Outstanding Service to Global Community Award (2015, AOM). He was the co-organizer of the SMS Shanghai Conference (2007) and AIB Moscow Conference (2010) and Chair of the IMD of AOM (2007-2008). His current research focuses on sustained firm growth and competitive dynamics in emerging markets. He has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including SMJ, AMJ, and JIBS. His publications appeared in SMJ, AMJ, AMR, JIBS, MS, OS, SMR, among others. His co-authored books include the award-winning book Rough Diamonds: Four Traits of Successful Breakout Enterprises in BRIC Countries (Jossey-Bass, 2013), Scaling the Tail: Managing Profitable Growth in Emerging Markets (Palgrave McMillan, 2015), Managing Emerging Multinationals: Solving International Challenges (Cambridge University Press, 2016), and ASEAN Champions: Emerging Stalwarts in Regional Integration (Cambridge University Press, 2017).
