Keith Hmieleski is the Robert and Edith Schumacher Faculty Fellow and Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He received his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts—Amherst. His research focuses on psychological and behavioral aspects of the new venture creation and development process. He has published research in the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Small Business Management, Research Policy, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and The Leadership Quarterly. He is an Associate Editor at Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and serves on the editorial review boards of Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. Keith Hmieleski has twice won the National Federation of Independent Business Award for excellence in entrepreneurship research, been recognized by the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management (AOM) for publishing exemplar entrepreneurship research in the Academy of Management Journal, and won several best reviewer awards. He has co-directed the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC) and has chaired entrepreneurship doctorial consortia at the BCERC and the AOM conference.
